Emily Veraa - Veterinary Medicine

A Note From Emily: Ready for a Pawsitively awesome subject? Welcome to Veterinary Medicine! I am Emily Veraa and I teach at Leander High School in Leander, Texas. I have been teaching for 10 years. I have a B.S. in Animal and Poultry Science with a Minor in Chemistry from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) and a M.Ed in Secondary Education from Texas State University. Before teaching I worked in the veterinary field in small, large and emergency medicine with some of the best people I could have imagined working and learning with. Now I am blessed to share my knowledge and my passion with students. I truly feel that the future and safety of food security begins with large animal medicine. Having the ability to share my knowledge with students and with fellow teachers allows me to embrace my passion for medicine and for teaching. I can’t wait to get to know you and share veterinary medicine with you.
